Otis a 16.1 hand 6 year old double registered dark bay and white Paint gelding with two gorgeous blue eyes. He is APHA registered and Pinto Horse Association of America registered. His grandfather is RL Best Of Sudden. This horse is well bred and it sure does show. I honestly don’t know where to begin on this gelding without writing a novel because I could go on and on about him all day and all night. He is definitely one of the BEST horses I’ve ever owned and if I have ever been tempted to keep one it’s this one right here.
I really don’t know what a person would want to change about him or what is not to love. I’m convinced that if you don’t love him you either one don’t like horses or two have no idea what a GREAT horse is.
This horse just turned 6 years old and has so much heart. He is the most level headed, easy going, uncomplicated gelding a person can own. Everytime I walk in the barn I LOVE him even more and when he rides I really don’t know how you don’t want to jump up there. He’s breathtaking to look at and even more breathtaking when you’re sitting in the saddle. It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional or don’t know a thing, you throw him on cruise control and he does the rest. You pretty much sit up there and in all honesty don’t even have to hold the reins and let him do the rest. His jog and lope are smooth as silk and he’ll go as slow as you want to go. Low, level head, a soft mouth, backs, side passes, turns on his haunches, has flying changes and will jump cross rails. This horse is ready to go in any show ring tomorrow or he’s happy to stay around and be someone’s best friend and unicorn . Everyone is always looking for that unicorn well here he is and he’s wrapped up in the prettiest package one can be in. Confirmationally you can’t pick this horse apart, he’s absolute perfection. He is also very big bodied. Breyer needs to roll call him and make him into a Breyer model because that’s how gorgeous Otis is.
If you like the finer things and life and want something that draws everyone’s attention this is that horse. Best part about him he’s not just a pretty face, he’s soooooo BROKE, so SAFE and so QUIET. Good for any age and any level. You can be positive that you will be safe and taken care of. He’s the kind that’ll build confidence and teach someone how to ride but he’s not boring for an experienced rider or a professional either. Otis is one of the few “show horses” I’ve owned and seen that’s also a BOMBPROOF trail horse. He likes to trail rides and goes out with zero hesitation alone or with others. You can also pony off him. He crosses water, goes down the road and could care less about cars and trucks. Relax and ride him on the buckle, he’s confident and rides with a nice level head down the road, in the fields and in the woods. Crosses anything and is sure footed.
This isn’t the kind of horse that needs to be drilled or schooled, let him sit for a month and pull him out, throw the saddle on and he’ll ride right off like you rode him the day before. He doesn’t need to be lunged, warmed up or corrected. This horse just rides with zero effort. He’s natural and loves what he does. Ride him with a western pleasure shank bit or a plain snaffle and it makes no difference. You can ride him spurs, no spurs, boots or sneakers and it makes no difference. A lot of these western pleasure/HUS horses need a certain bit, consistent work, schooling, spurs etc and Otis doesn’t need any of that. This is the Rolls Royce of horses. He is that one in a million. A real life unicorn to say the least. I know one thing for certain, write your own guarantee and I’ll sign it because it’s hard to find one that’s even close to this gelding right here. 100% sound, no vices what so ever and up to date on everything. All his paperwork is in order and he sells fully vet checked and X-rayed. His PPE was done by one of the best performance horse vets in New Jersey.
